Fruity coffees - lively, juicy, surprising

Fruity coffees bring sunshine to the cup. They are lightly roasted, have a complex flavour and are reminiscent of berries, citrus fruits or stone fruit.

These coffees show how diverse and lively Arabica can be - far away from dark bitterness, towards tangy elegance.

Röstbar Hochwacht, 1 kg beans

Röstbar Hochwacht, 1 kg beans

If you love espresso with a signal effect that not only wakes you up, but also impresses you, then Röstbar Hochwacht is made for you. This strong blend of Arabica and Robusta beans comes from four different countries of origin - Brazil, Nicaragua, India and Guatemala - and combines the best of different altitudes, soils and traditions. The name Hochwacht is no coincidence: like a historical signal point, this espresso also announces that something special is coming here. Röstbar Hochwacht impresses with an intense but balanced flavour profile. The nutty, chocolaty notes from Brazil meet the fruity, floral elegance from Nicaragua. India contributes spice and depth, while Guatemala provides structure and harmony. Despite the strong body, the espresso remains mild in acidity and pleasantly soft on the finish. The small proportion of Robusta rounds off the blend and ensures a particularly dense and stable crema. These beans are intended for espresso preparation - whether in a portafilter, fully automatic machine or moka pot. The medium roast level (3 out of 5) ensures that the coffee is not too dark, but still aromatic and full-bodied in the cup. Ideal as a classic espresso or as a base for cappuccino and latte - especially if you value a creamy mouthfeel. Röstbar Hochwacht combines high-quality green coffees from selected regions: Brasil Dulce from Cerrado and Minas Gerais offers body and mild acidity, Nicaragua Tuma brings in fruity clarity and floral notes. The blend is complemented by Indian and Guatemalan beans, which give the blend depth and structure. The careful balance makes this espresso the ideal choice for anyone looking for a coffee that is full of character but at the same time pleasantly accessible - day after day.

Röstbar Coffee 70% Arabica 30% Robusta, 250g Pack, black packaging
CHF 42,003 SIZES
Röstbar Brandy, 1 kg beans

Character coffee with history and flavour. If you are looking for a coffee that not only tastes powerful, but also tells a story, then Röstbar Brand is just the thing for you. This blend of 70 % Arabica from Honduras and 30 % Robusta from Tanzania stands for character, depth and a touch of nostalgia. The name is reminiscent of the cleared land where forests were once burnt down - a place steeped in history that today produces a cup of coffee that is as powerful as it is harmonious. The Röstbar brandy combines the chocolaty, nutty notes of Honduran Arabica with the strong, slightly sweet fruitiness of Tanzanian Robusta. The flavours are reminiscent of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and subtle citrus fruits - a full-bodied pleasure with a mild acidity profile. The combination results in a pleasantly creamy cup with a long, toasted finish and a charming spicy nuance that gives the coffee depth. This blend unfolds its full potential particularly well in a moka pot. But the Röstbar Brand also cuts an excellent figure in a portafilter or fully automatic machine - especially as a strong espresso or as a base for cappuccino and latte macchiato. The medium roast level (4 out of 5) ensures a good balance between roasted flavours and the natural character of the beans. The Arabica beans come from the famous Santa Barbara region in Honduras, where they are grown under sustainable conditions on volcanic soil at 1,200 to 1,650 metres above sea level. The farmers there prioritise quality and care with every harvest. The Robustas from Tanzania come from the Kagera region and are harvested exclusively by hand. The shade cultivation at high altitudes ensures a particularly dense bean structure and plenty of flavour. The Röstbar Brand is a blend with character, ideal for anyone who loves strong coffees and values origin and quality.

Rast Kaffee Herminio, Guatemala

Rest Coffee Erapuca, Honduras

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Honduran coffee - with Rast Kaffee Erapuca you will experience a harmonious interplay of depth, freshness and fullness. This single origin from Ocotepeque impresses with its nutty flavours, subtle fruity notes and fine, refreshing acidity. A coffee that not only wakes you up, but inspires you. Erapuca offers you an exciting interplay of flavours: tart nuances give the coffee depth, while notes of walnut and light apricot provide a subtle elegance. You will recognise nutty tones and a hint of clove in the aroma. The tangy acidity brings freshness to the cup and gives the espresso a balanced flavour that lingers for a long time. The Erapuca is at its best as an espresso, where it shines with 3/3 points. As a café crème, it also impresses with a score of 2/3, provides a pleasant balance and rounds off your everyday life perfectly. It is less suitable for filter preparation, as its character loses intensity there. Regardless of whether you enjoy it pure or with a dash of milk - this coffee remains an experience. This coffee comes from the Cooperativa Cafesmo, which brings together more than 250 small farmers in the Ocotepeque region. All fincas are certified organic and fair trade. The beans for the Premium Erapuca come from Alex Valle, a former primary school teacher who has found his second vocation in coffee growing. Together with his family, he grows the Pacas, Obata, Lempira and IH-Café-90 varieties on shady, biodiverse land - surrounded by pines, fruit trees and forest, which create the special microclimate for this speciality. The Erapuca is fully washed and harvested by hand between October and March. With its organic, direct trade and fair trade certificates, it not only stands for maximum enjoyment, but also for responsibility and sustainability. This coffee is an expression of diversity and quality - and invites you to discover the flavour of Honduras in an authentic way.

It unfolds its full potential with a portafilter machine or in a fully automatic machine. This coffee is backed by the Associaçao dos Produtores do Alto da Serra (APAS). This FAIR TRADE association, based in the district of Ferreiras in the south of Minas Gerais, emphasises quality, transparency and fair conditions. Sensory perception - what the nose and palate experience

Fruity coffees are instantly recognisable: Intense aromas of berries, citrus and tropical fruits emerge as soon as the coffee is ground. The cup reveals a clear, lively acidity - not acidic, but fresh and elegant.

On the palate, an interplay of sweetness, fruitiness and fine floral notes unfolds.

  • Ethiopia often brings bergamot, peach and jasmine
  • Kenya shines with cassis, grapefruit and hibiscus
  • Central America delivers apple, honeydew melon and caramel clarity.

These coffees are aromatic, light and complex at the same time - an experience for the nose and tongue.

Origin - where fruitiness originates

The most intense fruit flavours can be found in Ethiopia and Kenya. Varieties that are naturally sweet and floral grow here. Coffees from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama also have a softer, balanced fruity flavour.

The most intense fruit flavours can be found in Ethiopia and Kenya. Varieties that are naturally sweet and floral grow here. Coffees from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama also have a softer, balanced fruity flavour.

An important factor is the processing:

  • Natural or honey-processed coffees emphasise sweet fruit and berry flavours.
  • Washed coffees bring clarity, freshness and citrus flavours.

Origin - where fruitiness originates

The most intense fruit flavours come from Ethiopia and Kenya. Varieties that have a particularly high level of natural acidity and flavour grow here. Coffees from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama also have a more harmonious fruity flavour - softer, sweeter and less citrusy.

One key lies in the processing:

  • Natural & Honey Processed coffees enhance berry and stone fruit flavours.
  • Washed coffees emphasise acidity, clarity and floral notes.

Roasting - light, precise, transparent

Fruity coffees need light to medium roasts.

They are developed briefly to preserve the fine flavours. Roasts that are too dark mask the fruitiness with roasted flavours and bitter substances.

The art lies in striking the right balance between sweetness, acidity and transparency - this keeps the coffee lively and balanced.

Fruity coffees are the opposite of ordinary.

They are lively, clear and juicy - perfect for anyone who wants to rediscover coffee. Choose light-coloured roasts, pay attention to origin and try out different filter methods. This allows you to taste the full range of nature, terroir and craftsmanship in your cup.
