Rest Coffee Matinilla, Costa Rica

Pure Costa Rica. This coffee brings the Costa Rican sunshine straight into your cup. Matinilla from Rast Kaffee delights with fine floral notes, accompanied by a refreshing grapefruit nuance and a delicate pistachio flavour. A coffee that will surprise you anew with every sip. Matinilla is a pure Arabica from the Heredia region. It seduces with a floral aroma and a sweet apricot flavour. It unfolds on the palate in a multi-layered way: floral freshness, subtle grapefruit and fine pistachios combine to create an elegant and harmonious flavour experience. Whether as a mild espresso or as a perfectly balanced café crème - this coffee shows its strengths in both variants. It also offers exciting nuances when prepared as a filter coffee, although it is most convincing as a café crème. Matinilla is produced by the traditional Coopelibertad R.L., a cooperative that has been supporting small farmers in Costa Rica since 1961. The members cultivate their fields in the Central Valley using sustainable methods and mainly cultivate Caturra and Catuaí varieties. With this coffee, they honour the Matinilla micro-region and the people who have been passionately growing coffee there for generations. The Matinilla beans come from the 2024 harvest and are fully washed. Coopelibertad R.L. focuses on the highest quality and social commitment - a coffee that not only impresses with its flavour, but also with its history. Ideal for anyone who appreciates special flavour and responsible cultivation.

Rast Kaffee Herminio, Guatemala

Rast Coffee Gesha Washed, Panama

Immerse yourself in the world of premium coffees: with Gesha washed from Rast Kaffee, you will experience a rarity that is one of Panama's best speciality coffees. This single origin from Santa Clara shows how balanced elegance and complex flavours come together in perfect harmony. Gesha washed impresses with its fine but clearly noticeable acidity, which gives it a lively freshness. Citrus and black tea unfold on the nose, while bergamot, jasmine, honey and apple come together in a harmonious interplay on the palate. The result is an exceptional coffee that combines complexity with clarity and will delight you sip after sip. This Gesha is best enjoyed as a filter coffee, where its floral and fruity notes can unfold their full radiance. It also impresses as a café crème with its fine structure. It is less suitable for espresso, as its bright, complex flavour comes out more clearly in filter preparation. Gesha comes from the traditional Finca Hartmann in Santa Clara, which has been one of Panama's most renowned producers for almost 100 years. Today, siblings Maria and Plinio Ruiz run the family business Casa Ruiz with passion and respect for nature. The growing area lies between 1,300 and 2,000 metres above sea level, surrounded by forest reserves at the Parque Internacional La Amistad. The Hartmann family favours sustainable shade cultivation under native rainforest trees, thus maintaining a closed cycle that preserves biodiversity. This Gesha is a SHB quality (Strictly Hard Bean) and is processed in the Chiriquí region. The washed method emphasises its clear structure and lively acidity. Directly traded (Label Direct Trade), it stands for maximum transparency and quality. The harvest period is between December and April, with only the ripest cherries being picked by hand. A coffee for special moments - exclusive, full of character and of sustainable origin.

Rest Coffee Bahareque, Colombia

Discover a real treasure from Colombia with Rast Bahareque coffee. This single origin from the Norte del Valle region impresses with its intense sweetness, fine acidity and complex interplay of flavours. It is backed by the dedicated Cafenorte cooperative, which has been investing in quality, education and sustainability for decades - with success, as Bahareque has been awarded gold by independent Q-graders. In the cup, Bahareque releases a beguiling aroma of dates and liquorice. In terms of flavour, you can expect a nutty base that combines with notes of chocolate and a hint of peach. The combination of fine acidity and balanced sweetness gives this coffee an elegant structure that lingers for a long time. This Arabica particularly shows its strengths as a café crème, where its harmonious balance comes into its own. It also impresses as an espresso with its complexity and fine flavour. It is less predestined for preparation as filter coffee, as its aromatic profile is somewhat less pronounced in this form. It is ideal in a portafilter machine or fully automatic machine. Bahareque is produced by the Cooperativa Cafenorte, a co-operative founded in 1963 with around 1,900 coffee families. The members cultivate 12 regions in the Norte del Valle and are committed to quality, education and social responsibility. Cafenorte guarantees traceability along the entire value chain and contributes significantly to the well-being of the coffee families. The coffee comes from the Castilla, Caturro and Variedad Colombia varieties. It is processed after washing and reaches a high-quality grade with Screen 18. With labels such as Fairtrade and Direct Trade, Bahareque combines excellent flavour with social commitment - a coffee that brings both pleasure and responsibility to your cup.
