Rast Mandheling combines the best of the high altitudes of Aceh and Lintong: floral aromas, a subtle fruitiness and a mild, balanced spiciness. With its soft acidity and high natural sweetness, this coffee blends particularly harmoniously into your coffee break.
An exotic, floral aroma unfolds on the nose, immediately arousing curiosity. On the tongue, Mandheling is flavoursome, slightly fruity and pleasantly full-bodied. The fine acidity is restrained, but the coffee shines with a noticeable sweetness that perfectly supports its floral and spicy notes. A well-balanced coffee with a complex flavour without being overpowering.
Rast Mandheling is ideal for espresso (3/3), where the dense texture and spicy floral notes really come into their own. As a café crème (2/3), it is somewhat milder, but still full of character. It is less suitable for filter preparation (0/3), as its strength lies in its concentrated extraction - making it ideal for your portafilter or fully automatic machine.
This single origin is cultivated by over 300 small farmers in the north of Sumatra. The beans come from the highland regions around Lake Toba, grow at an altitude of 1,300 to 1,500 metres and are harvested by hand. In the mill of PT Musfaha Niaga Mandiri - a family-run quality manufactory - they are wet-shelled and dried in the sun. Under the name "Menagold", the next generation of this coffee craft combines the regions of origin Medan and Aceh with a promise of quality that you can taste with every cup.

We recommend that espresso roasts be used 12 days after the roast date or filter coffees 5 days after the roast date found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time until it is ready for a constant extraction.
