Rast Blue Mountain, Wallenford Estate, Jamaica
If you celebrate coffee as a true luxury product, then the Jamaica Blue Mountain from Rast is just the thing for you. This single origin is one of the rarest and most sought-after coffees in the world. It comes from small highland plantations such as the Wallenford Estate and is cultivated almost exclusively by hand. You'll notice from the very first sip: This is no ordinary coffee - this is a masterpiece with a history.
Blue Mountain impresses with its perfect balance. Its aroma is reminiscent of dark berries and ripe mandarin, while velvety flavours of peanut, hazelnut, fine caramel and dark chocolate unfold in the cup. The mild acidity, natural sweetness and long finish make it an experience for all the senses. A coffee that impresses across the board - subtle, complex and incredibly round.
Jamaica Blue Mountain unfolds its elegance particularly well as a café crème (3/3), where the subtle nuances are given room to unfold. It also impresses as an espresso (2/3) with its velvety body and restrained acidity. If you would like to try it as a filter coffee (1/3), you should pay attention to the exact dosage - the complex fullness tolerates a higher quantity than usual.
This exceptional coffee is grown on the volcanic southern slopes of the legendary Blue Mountains at up to 2,300 metres above sea level. Each bean is individually inspected, hand-picked and then carefully washed. Even today, the green coffee is traditionally shipped in 70kg wooden barrels - a sign of its exclusivity. 90 per cent of the harvest goes directly to Japan. What arrives here is rare - and an invitation to you to savour coffee in its finest form.

Fresh service, please note: This coffee is freshly roasted every Monday and shipped two to three days later.
We recommend: Espresso roasts should be used 12 days after the roast date, and filter coffees 5 days after the roast date, which can be found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time to be ready for consistent extraction.
We kindly request that orders be placed by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday so that we can guarantee shipping on the following Wednesday.
