The aroma of Latino No 5 is slightly fruity, inviting and delicate. Nutty flavours unfold in the cup, supported by a subtle sweetness and a lively but pleasantly integrated acidity. The body is round and velvety - a balanced flavour experience that never gets boring. The Blue Mountain from Jamaica lends the blend additional sophistication and complexity.
As a café crème (3/3), Latino No 5 shows its strengths to the full: smooth, aromatic and with a fine structure. It also impresses in filter coffee (2/3) with clarity and a pleasantly fruity flavour. It is suitable for espresso (1/3) if you prefer mild, elegant variants - but its true strength lies in its gentle extraction over larger quantities of water.
The heart of this blend comes from the renowned Wallenford Estate in Jamaica - one of the few authorised producers of genuine Jamaica Blue Mountain. The blend is complemented by carefully cultivated Arabicas from Colombia (Cafenorte), Costa Rica (Coopelibertad), Guatemala (San Jose Buena Vista) and Brazil (Fazenda Camambaia). All farms stand for sustainable cultivation methods, family tradition and the highest quality. We recommend: Espresso roasts should be used 12 days after the roast date, and filter coffees 5 days after the roast date, which can be found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time to be ready for consistent extraction.
