There is coffee that wakes you up - and there is coffee that takes you somewhere. A sip of Caffè Borbone feels like a walk through Naples in the early morning: loud, warm, full of life.

Borbone is a brand that is deeply rooted in the soul of Naples. Although the company was only founded in 1997, it has a heritage that goes back much further - to the Bourbon era of the 18th century, when Naples was one of the most modern cities in the world and coffee became a symbol of social life. This spirit still characterises Borbone today: coffee as culture, as an encounter, as a pleasurable ritual.
The roastery sees itself as a link between tradition and innovation. It works with state-of-the-art technology and at the same time with respect for the Neapolitan roasting culture, which produces strong, dense and aromatic coffees. Borbone is espresso with an identity: full-bodied, deep, warm and always with that typical Neapolitan character that remains powerful even in milk drinks.
Borbone roasts using the classic southern Italian method - dark, slow and at high heat to give the coffee a rich, compact structure. The beans are processed in large drum roasters at up to 650 degrees, which gives them an even, powerful flavour. Roasting is a balancing act of heat, movement and a sense of when the bean has reached its full profile.
The coffee is ground immediately after roasting or packaged as a whole bean, often in a protective atmosphere so that flavour and freshness are not lost. Each portion is sealed airtight so that you can experience the aroma of freshly roasted coffee at home.
In every cup, Borbone shows just how intense an espresso can be when tradition, technology and passion come together. It is aromatic, full of depth, rich in cocoa and roasted notes, with a crema that is thick and firm - just as you would expect in Naples.
The roastery is part of Olam Food Ingredients' AtSource programme and is working to source more and more green coffee from controlled, socially and environmentally responsible supply chains. By 2024, almost half of all coffee came from certified batches, and the company aims to significantly increase this proportion by 2026.
Responsible standards are also applied in processing. Modern facilities ensure hygiene, energy efficiency and consistent quality. The packaging is designed in such a way that it retains as much freshness as possible while using as few resources as possible.
For Borbone, sustainability means producing good coffee without burdening the world from which the beans originate.
Caffè Borbone is Naples in its purest form: loud, powerful, passionate and full of soul. An espresso that draws you into the centre of a city full of energy and shows you how intense coffee can be when it is roasted with real conviction.
