The Rast Festival seduces with an aromatic interplay of dark berries, acacia honey and fine chocolate. The nose reveals notes of walnut, pepper and resin - an exciting prelude that arouses curiosity. The subtle, lively acidity gives the coffee an elegant structure, while the natural sweetness provides balance. Ideal for those who love character, but not heaviness.
The Rast Festival unfolds its full potential best as a café crème (3/3) - this is where the complex flavours and fine acidity come into their own. It also impresses as a filter coffee (2/3) with its clarity and fresh, fruity flavour. It is less suitable for espresso (0/3) - this blend was composed for finesse, not power.
The blend combines four countries of origin that are known for their top-quality coffees: Kenya's Nyeri AA impresses with its intense fruitiness and careful wet processing on volcanic soil. From Guatemala comes coffee from the San Jose Buena Vista mill - hand-picked and rich in minerals. Fazenda Camambaia in Brazil supplies Yellow Bourbon, a variety with sweetness and depth. We recommend that espresso roasts be used 12 days after the roast date or filter coffees 5 days after the roast date found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time until it is ready for a constant extraction.
