Kafisack Samba Mama

With Samba Mama, you can bring Brazilian joie de vivre straight into your cup. This 100% Arabica has a harmonious, clear character and a gentle nutty flavour. Whether as an espresso or filter - it is versatile and always has a balanced flavour. Samba Mama is smooth and round with flavours of cocoa, vanilla and macadamia nut. Its nutty profile is reminiscent of a delicate dessert and delights with a creamy finish. The body is pleasantly present, the acidity is finely integrated and the sweetness is reminiscent of dark cocoa. A coffee that accompanies you with warmth and harmony from the very first sip. As an omni roast, Samba Mama is suitable for both espresso and filter. Espresso: 17-19 g coffee, fine grind, 41 g water at 90 °C, extracted in 23-29 seconds. Filter: 17-19 g coffee, medium grind, 220 ml water at 90 °C, with a brewing time of 1:50 minutes. This allows its notes of cocoa, vanilla and macadamia nut to unfold in full clarity - creamy as an espresso or round and smooth in the filter. Samba Mama comes from Alto Jequitibá, Caparao, Minas Gerais and is grown by small farmers at 800-1,000 metres above sea level. The Catuaí variety is sun-dried (natural), which gives the coffee its fine balance and aromatic depth. Behind the kafisack brand is the Kessler roastery from Siebnen (SZ), which has stood for honest craftsmanship, sustainability and pure flavour since 2019. Here, coffees are created without compromise - freshly roasted with passion and attitude.

Are you looking for a coffee that will surprise you with its fruity lightness? The SÜESSI BOHNÄ from kafisack is just that: a lively filter coffee that delights with sweet, fruity notes and reminds you of a late summer breakfast. Artisan-roasted, honestly produced and full of character - just the thing for anyone who doesn't just want to drink coffee, but wants to experience it. The SÜESSI BOHNÄ shows what Honduran coffee has to offer: Aromas of ripe strawberries, juicy grapes and a subtle hint of honey. Its flavour is complex and round, with clear fruit acidity and a pleasant sweetness. The body is light to medium, the cup is elegant, fresh and balanced. To get the best out of this filter coffee, we recommend the following recipe: Coffee: 15 g Grind: fine-medium Water: 240 ml at 92 °C Brew time: 2-3 minutes This is how its full character unfolds - whether as a pour over, in a hand filter or in the AeroPress. SÜESSI BOHNÄ comes from the Finca San Pablo in Marcala, La Paz, at an altitude of 1,450 metres. Producer Montgomery Melghem cultivates the Icatú variety there and favours natural processing in the sun. The result is a speciality coffee that requires no additives and impresses with its honest quality. Kafisack stands for young, bold coffee craftsmanship from Switzerland. Since 2019, they have been roasting in small quantities and with great passion - always with the aim of rethinking coffee: more sustainable, more flavourful and without compromise.

What makes Kessler particularly good

At Kessler, every coffee has its own name - in dialect. This gives rise to characterful names such as "Guetä Morgä", "Ja gärn", "Würzigä Siäch", "Happy Macher", "Samba Mama" or "Süessi Bohnä".
