Colombiafairtrade100% Arabica
CHF 8,80250 g
Rest Coffee Bahareque, Colombia

Discover a real treasure from Colombia with Rast Bahareque coffee. This single origin from the Norte del Valle region impresses with its intense sweetness, fine acidity and complex interplay of flavours. It is backed by the dedicated Cafenorte cooperative, which has been investing in quality, education and sustainability for decades - with success, as Bahareque has been awarded gold by independent Q-graders. In the cup, Bahareque releases a beguiling aroma of dates and liquorice. In terms of flavour, you can expect a nutty base that combines with notes of chocolate and a hint of peach. The combination of fine acidity and balanced sweetness gives this coffee an elegant structure that lingers for a long time. This Arabica particularly shows its strengths as a café crème, where its harmonious balance comes into its own. It also impresses as an espresso with its complexity and fine flavour. It is less predestined for preparation as filter coffee, as its aromatic profile is somewhat less pronounced in this form. It is ideal in a portafilter machine or fully automatic machine. Bahareque is produced by the Cooperativa Cafenorte, a co-operative founded in 1963 with around 1,900 coffee families. The members cultivate 12 regions in the Norte del Valle and are committed to quality, education and social responsibility. Cafenorte guarantees traceability along the entire value chain and contributes significantly to the well-being of the coffee families. The coffee comes from the Castilla, Caturro and Variedad Colombia varieties. It is processed after washing and reaches a high-quality grade with Screen 18. With labels such as Fairtrade and Direct Trade, Bahareque combines excellent flavour with social commitment - a coffee that brings both pleasure and responsibility to your cup.

Rest Coffee Blawan, Indonesia

A coffee with history, character and depth: Rast Blawan coffee from Indonesia takes you straight to the lush forests and volcanic landscapes of Java. With its syrupy body, mild acidity and notes of bittersweet chocolate, it gives you an intense moment of pleasure - whether as a strong espresso or a balanced café crème. Blawan has a complex flavour with hints of black tea, liquorice and chocolate. Its aroma is reminiscent of marzipan and fresh bread, giving it a warm, inviting flavour. The low acidity makes the coffee particularly round and pleasant, while the full body carries the flavours on the palate for a long time. This single origin unfolds particularly well as a café crème, where its complexity comes into balance. As an espresso, it has a strong, chocolaty profile with a slight spiciness. It is only suitable for filter preparation to a limited extent, as it reveals fewer nuances here. Whether in a portafilter machine or a fully automatic machine, Blawan is easy to handle and ensures consistently high quality. Blawan comes from the traditional Blawan settlements on Java. Local families have been growing Arabica coffee there for generations at altitudes of between 800 and 1,300 metres. With careful care, unique pruning methods for the coffee trees and fertile, mineral-rich soils, they create the best conditions for this special coffee. The knowledge of cultivation has been passed down through generations and still characterises the Blawan today. Rast Blawan coffee is a single origin Arabica consisting of the Catimor, Linie-S and USDA varieties. It is processed using the wet-polished method, which gives the coffee its clean, clear cup. The harvest takes place from April to June 2024 and guarantees maximum freshness. With its origins in one of the oldest and most renowned coffee regions in Indonesia, Blawan not only offers enjoyment, but also an insight into the rich coffee tradition of Java.

Rest Coffee Erapuca, Honduras

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Honduran coffee - with Rast Kaffee Erapuca you will experience a harmonious interplay of depth, freshness and fullness. This single origin from Ocotepeque impresses with its nutty flavours, subtle fruity notes and fine, refreshing acidity. A coffee that not only wakes you up, but inspires you. Erapuca offers you an exciting interplay of flavours: tart nuances give the coffee depth, while notes of walnut and light apricot provide a subtle elegance. You will recognise nutty tones and a hint of clove in the aroma. The tangy acidity brings freshness to the cup and gives the espresso a balanced flavour that lingers for a long time. The Erapuca is at its best as an espresso, where it shines with 3/3 points. As a café crème, it also impresses with a score of 2/3, provides a pleasant balance and rounds off your everyday life perfectly. It is less suitable for filter preparation, as its character loses intensity there. Regardless of whether you enjoy it pure or with a dash of milk - this coffee remains an experience. This coffee comes from the Cooperativa Cafesmo, which brings together more than 250 small farmers in the Ocotepeque region. All fincas are certified organic and fair trade. The beans for the Premium Erapuca come from Alex Valle, a former primary school teacher who has found his second vocation in coffee growing. Together with his family, he grows the Pacas, Obata, Lempira and IH-Café-90 varieties on shady, biodiverse land - surrounded by pines, fruit trees and forest, which create the special microclimate for this speciality. The Erapuca is fully washed and harvested by hand between October and March. With its organic, direct trade and fair trade certificates, it not only stands for maximum enjoyment, but also for responsibility and sustainability. This coffee is an expression of diversity and quality - and invites you to discover the flavour of Honduras in an authentic way.

Are you looking for a coffee that will accompany you every day without becoming boring? Pfannenstiel is exactly that coffee - our personal house speciality, named after the gentle mountain range just outside Zurich. Like its namesake, this blend of Ethiopian Arabica and Tanzanian Robusta combines history, depth and perspective. Pfannenstiel is a harmonious composition of the flowery, fruity notes of Ethiopian Arabica beans and the spicy strength of Tanzanian Robusta. The flavours are reminiscent of dark chocolate, nuts and delicate citrus fruits, rounded off by a full body and a long, caramelly finish. The mild acidity makes it particularly pleasant - both on its own as an espresso and in milk drinks. A real all-rounder with a distinctive profile. The Arabica content comes from the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, known for its floral, complex coffees with a fruity elegance. The Robusta beans come from Tanzania - around Bukoba and Arusha - and bring strength, structure and a pronounced body to the cup. Both varieties are carefully picked and washed by hand. The result: a house coffee with depth and suitability for everyday use that is just as popular with coffee fans as it is with beginners.

Röstbar Coffee 70% Arabica 30% Robusta, 250g Pack, black packaging
CHF 42,003 SIZES
Röstbar Brandy, 1 kg beans

Character coffee with history and flavour. If you are looking for a coffee that not only tastes powerful, but also tells a story, then Röstbar Brand is just the thing for you. This blend of 70 % Arabica from Honduras and 30 % Robusta from Tanzania stands for character, depth and a touch of nostalgia. The name is reminiscent of the cleared land where forests were once burnt down - a place steeped in history that today produces a cup of coffee that is as powerful as it is harmonious. The Röstbar brandy combines the chocolaty, nutty notes of Honduran Arabica with the strong, slightly sweet fruitiness of Tanzanian Robusta. The flavours are reminiscent of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and subtle citrus fruits - a full-bodied pleasure with a mild acidity profile. The combination results in a pleasantly creamy cup with a long, toasted finish and a charming spicy nuance that gives the coffee depth. This blend unfolds its full potential particularly well in a moka pot. But the Röstbar Brand also cuts an excellent figure in a portafilter or fully automatic machine - especially as a strong espresso or as a base for cappuccino and latte macchiato. The medium roast level (4 out of 5) ensures a good balance between roasted flavours and the natural character of the beans. The Arabica beans come from the famous Santa Barbara region in Honduras, where they are grown under sustainable conditions on volcanic soil at 1,200 to 1,650 metres above sea level. The farmers there prioritise quality and care with every harvest. The Robustas from Tanzania come from the Kagera region and are harvested exclusively by hand. The shade cultivation at high altitudes ensures a particularly dense bean structure and plenty of flavour. The Röstbar Brand is a blend with character, ideal for anyone who loves strong coffees and values origin and quality.

Röstbar Hochwacht, 1 kg beans

Röstbar Hochwacht, 1 kg beans

If you love espresso with a signal effect that not only wakes you up, but also impresses you, then Röstbar Hochwacht is made for you. This strong blend of Arabica and Robusta beans comes from four different countries of origin - Brazil, Nicaragua, India and Guatemala - and combines the best of different altitudes, soils and traditions. The name Hochwacht is no coincidence: like a historical signal point, this espresso also announces that something special is coming here. Röstbar Hochwacht impresses with an intense but balanced flavour profile. The nutty, chocolaty notes from Brazil meet the fruity, floral elegance from Nicaragua. India contributes spice and depth, while Guatemala provides structure and harmony. Despite the strong body, the espresso remains mild in acidity and pleasantly soft on the finish. The small proportion of Robusta rounds off the blend and ensures a particularly dense and stable crema. These beans are intended for espresso preparation - whether in a portafilter, fully automatic machine or moka pot. The medium roast level (3 out of 5) ensures that the coffee is not too dark, but still aromatic and full-bodied in the cup. Ideal as a classic espresso or as a base for cappuccino and latte - especially if you value a creamy mouthfeel. Röstbar Hochwacht combines high-quality green coffees from selected regions: Brasil Dulce from Cerrado and Minas Gerais offers body and mild acidity, Nicaragua Tuma brings in fruity clarity and floral notes. The blend is complemented by Indian and Guatemalan beans, which give the blend depth and structure. The careful balance makes this espresso the ideal choice for anyone looking for a coffee that is full of character but at the same time pleasantly accessible - day after day.

Sensory perception - what the nose and palate experience

Fruity coffees are instantly recognisable: Intense aromas of berries, citrus and tropical fruits emerge as soon as the coffee is ground. The cup reveals a clear, lively acidity - not acidic, but fresh and elegant.

On the palate, an interplay of sweetness, fruitiness and fine floral notes unfolds.

  • Ethiopia often brings bergamot, peach and jasmine
  • Kenya shines with cassis, grapefruit and hibiscus
  • Central America delivers apple, honeydew melon and caramel clarity.

These coffees are aromatic, light and complex at the same time - an experience for the nose and tongue.

Origin - where fruitiness originates

The most intense fruit flavours can be found in Ethiopia and Kenya. Varieties that are naturally sweet and floral grow here. Coffees from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama also have a softer, balanced fruity flavour.
