Kaffa Mankira, No 1, Ethiopia

Wild Coffee Collection No 01: 100% wild Arabica from select forest locations from the 2017/18 harvest, single-origin roasted in the Kaffa workshop. The Wild Coffee Collection is a limited and numbered edition of 480 bags.

According to tradition, the origin of Coffea Arabica lies in remote Mankira, which can still only be reached on foot. Sturdy, moss-covered mother trees bear witness to the countless wild coffee varieties that are collected there by 460 farmers on a forest area of 572 hectares.

The coffee farmers of Mankira dry their wild coffee cherries naturally in the sun. After peeling, the beans are sorted by hand, bean by bean. For the Wild Coffee Collection, we select the best beans and roast them into a powerful, intense coffee.
