Zarza Colombia coffee packaging, espresso roast

Drip Roasters Colombia Zarza

A coffee full of elegance and vibrancy Do you love coffees that surprise you with their clarity and playful notes? Then you'll love Colombia Zarza. This coffee from Alejandra Muñoz Ortiz and Jhonatan Gasca shows how modern processing methods can give a classic from Huila, Colombia, a whole new dimension.

Colombia Zarza is elegant, floral and fruity and funky at the same time. You can expect an aroma of jasmine, accompanied by clear citrus notes, ripe berries and stone fruit. In the cup, it unfolds a refreshing balance of mandarin and apricot - a combination that reminds you of sunny days. Despite its intense flavours, it remains wonderfully clean and balanced.

This coffee has been prepared so that you can enjoy it both as a filter and as an espresso. For filter coffee, Drip Roasters recommend preparation with the Origami Dripper: 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water at 93 °C, in five infusions over 2:30-2:45 minutes. As an espresso, it unfolds best with a brew ratio of 1:2.3 - 20 g coffee in / 46 g espresso out, with around 27 seconds of extraction. Whether pure as an espresso or as a fruity pour over - the Zarza shines in every variation.

The Zarza comes from the farm of the same name in Bruselas, Pitalito, where Alejandra Muñoz Ortiz and her husband Jhonatan Gasca grow pink bourbon on six hectares. The beans undergo a multi-stage, elaborate processing with oxidation, anaerobic fermentation, thermal shock and gentle drying - all for a clear, intense flavour profile. With an FOB price of $7.03/lb, the payment for this coffee is 352% of the Fairtrade minimum price - a sign of transparency and appreciation. Drip Roasters has maintained a close relationship with producers for two years, bringing the diversity and innovation of Colombian coffee culture directly to your cup.

Coffee Annan Café Crème, organic

Discover a world of coffee that goes deeper with the Organic Café Crème from Coffee Annan. Grown on the volcanic heights of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this coffee promises not only enjoyment, but also a story of hope and change. With every sip, you support the sustainable efforts of local coffee farmers who produce this exceptional coffee under difficult conditions but with a great deal of passion. The BIO-Café Crème is characterised by its smooth and finely balanced aromas of chocolate and caramel. The combination of single origin Arabica beans of the rare Rumangabo variety and careful roasting in Kenya gives this coffee an exquisite balance of flavours. The light sweetness and creamy texture turn every sip into a small celebration. This organic coffee comes from 100% Arabica beans, which are carefully grown and harvested at an altitude of 1500 to 1800 metres above sea level. The beans are washed after harvesting and refined in Kenya to a medium-dark roast. This reduces the acidity and brings out the characteristic sweet notes to optimum effect. We recommend using a fully automatic machine, a moka pot or a French press to prepare this fine coffee. These methods bring out the natural sweetness and harmonious chocolate and caramel flavours and guarantee a full-bodied coffee experience. Your perfect morning starts with the BIO-Café Crème. With every purchase of Coffee Annan coffee, you contribute directly to a fairer value chain. This is because, unlike usual, a significant proportion of the revenue generated is reinvested directly in the coffee-growing regions. This not only supports local coffee farmers, but also promotes sustainable practices and improves living conditions in one of the world's most challenging regions. With Coffee Annan's organic café crème, you can not only enjoy excellent coffee, but also become part of a movement that shows how enjoyment and social responsibility can go hand in hand.
