Drip Roasters Colombia Zarza
Fancy a coffee that brings both elegance and a little funkiness to your cup? Then Colombia Zarza is just the thing for you. On the farm of Alejandra Muñoz Ortiz and her husband Jhonatan Gasca, a coffee is created that pushes the boundaries of the usual. With a great deal of dedication and craftsmanship, they have cultivated a pink bourbon that delights both as a filter and as an espresso.
This semi-washed coffee surprises with an exciting blend of purity and playful flavour. Its floral fragrance is reminiscent of jasmine, while fruity notes of mandarin, apricot and berries awaken the senses. The lively acidity meets a fine sweetness and creates an elegant balance that lingers in the mouth for a long time
Whether you prepare it in an origami dripper or as an espresso - Colombia Zarza always unfolds its full potential. For filter coffee, we recommend 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water at 93 °C and a brewing time of 2:30 to 2:45 minutes. For espresso, it reveals its full spectrum of flavours at a ratio of 20 g in / 46 g out with an extraction time of 27 seconds. This gives you an intense yet playful flavour experience.
The beans come from the Zarza farm in Bruselas, Pitalito, Huila, at an altitude of 1540 metres. This coffee is produced by Alejandra and Jhonatan, who have been working closely with Drip Roasters for two years. The special processing method with two-stage anaerobic fermentation, thermal shock and careful drying ensures the exceptional clarity and complexity. Drip Roasters paid an FOB price of USD 7.03 per pound for this coffee - this corresponds to 352% of the Fairtrade minimum price and demonstrates the high standards of quality and transparency.

Fresh service, please note: This coffee is freshly roasted every Monday and shipped two to three days later.
We recommend: Espresso roasts should be used 12 days after the roast date, and filter coffees 5 days after the roast date, which can be found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time to be ready for consistent extraction.
We kindly request that orders be placed by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday so that we can guarantee shipping on the following Wednesday.
