Four select green coffees are perfectly matched in this coffee. The full variety of aromas is made possible by the gentle roasting process. The espresso house blend from the Stadtrösterei in Solothurn is a blend of four provenances that is gently roasted to perfection in the 5-kilo Probat drum roaster. The coffees from India (Malabar) and Indonesia (Mandheling) give this espresso an intensely spicy aroma with a hint of nuttiness. This composition is complemented with Ethiopian Sidamo coffee, which gives this blend a fine note of chocolate, citrus-like acidity and a delicate scent of caramel in the finish. The "Orang Utan Coffee Project" supports coffee farmers on Sumatra who manage their coffee plantations ecologically, refrain from clearing the rainforest and thus protect the valuable habitat of the orang utans, which are threatened with extinction. A premium of 0.50 EUR/kg goes to the coffee farmers of the Orang Utan Coffee Project for their commitment to the preservation of the tropical rainforest and the controlled cultivation according to orangutan guidelines. Dezalé: A coffee speciality from the highlands of Cauca in Colombia. Orientation: Socially, ecologically and economically sustainable. The project "Dezalé - Café de origen" was founded by the Swiss Hans Rudolf Auer-Lopez in 2000. The near-natural cultivation method is the special feature of the plantation.
