Länggass tea Darjeeling
Darjeeling is known for its highland black teas. The district of Darjeeling lies on the slopes of the Himalayas in the north of the Indian state of West Bengal. The British began to establish plantations there in 1856 with tea seeds smuggled from China. The highland teas from Darjeeling were long regarded as the best black teas in the West. Generally, three harvests per year are made in Darjeeling, with simple and inexpensive teas also being harvested between seasons. In other North Indian regions such as Dooars and Sikkim, as well as in Nepal and Nilgiri in South India, black teas are processed in the same way as Darjeeling.
Édition Classique: The selection of 23 varieties offers an overview of the prized teas from the classic tea-growing regions. Each individual tea shows the typical characteristics of its type and thus offers an insight into the infinite variety of flavours in the world of tea. For pleasure, enjoyment and sensual journeys of discovery.
