Sirocco Purple Breeze
Darjeeling is one of the most renowned tea varieties. The region around the Indian city of Darjiling is the centre of Bengali tea cultivation; it was also the starting point of a caravan route to Tibet and is still known today primarily for the usually very high-quality tea of the same name.
In contrast to standard Darjeelings, only tea of the highest classification SFTGFOP1 (Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) is used for Purple Breeze. Picked in the traditional tea gardens on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. A Darjeeling with a characteristically sweet flavour.
A Darjeeling should be brewed at a water temperature of 95 to 98°C (leave the water in the kettle for a maximum of 3 dl after boiling and wait until it stops boiling). The tea should only be left to infuse for 2-3 minutes. The Darjeeling can develop its flavour best at low water hardness levels.
Resealable tinplate tin with double sealing cap containing 80 grams of tea.
