Drip Roasters coffee packaging, Canta Galo variety from Brazil

Drip Roasters Brazil Canta Galo

This rich and sumptuous coffee is characterised by an intense sweetness and offers a wealth of ripe, fruity nuances reminiscent of grapes, wine, occasionally even rum or exotic fruits. These diverse flavours are rounded off by a wonderfully long-lasting, floral finish.

Canto Galo represents a traditional family farm in Campos Altos, in the heart of the Cerrado Mineiro in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This region is one of the highest coffee-growing regions in the country and therefore benefits from first-class climatic conditions for growing coffee.

The owners of the farm, Marina do Carmo Santanna de Carvalho and her son Heron Reger de Carvalho Junior, cultivate an area of 48 hectares on which they grow different varieties of coffee. Although this may seem large compared to many other coffee farms from which we source coffee, it is actually a smaller farm by Brazilian standards.

The name "Canta Galo" translates as "the rooster crows", but the de Carvalho family's land is not just home to roosters and chickens. Over 60% of the land on Fazenda Canta Galo remains untouched and is home to rainforests, waterfalls and springs that play a significant role in the long-term preservation of the local ecosystem.

The family is always striving to continuously improve the quality of their coffee. It is therefore not surprising that this coffee came fourth in the "Pulped Natural" category at the 7th annual "Campos Altos and Region Coffee Quality Competition". This emphasises the de Carvalho family's dedication to the quality of their coffee and their efforts to maintain the coffee-growing tradition in this region.

Coffee Annan Café Crème, organic

Discover a world of coffee that goes deeper with the Organic Café Crème from Coffee Annan. Grown on the volcanic heights of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this coffee promises not only enjoyment, but also a story of hope and change. With every sip, you support the sustainable efforts of local coffee farmers who produce this exceptional coffee under difficult conditions but with a great deal of passion. The BIO-Café Crème is characterised by its smooth and finely balanced aromas of chocolate and caramel. The combination of single origin Arabica beans of the rare Rumangabo variety and careful roasting in Kenya gives this coffee an exquisite balance of flavours. The light sweetness and creamy texture turn every sip into a small celebration. This organic coffee comes from 100% Arabica beans, which are carefully grown and harvested at an altitude of 1500 to 1800 metres above sea level. The beans are washed after harvesting and refined in Kenya to a medium-dark roast. This reduces the acidity and brings out the characteristic sweet notes to optimum effect. We recommend using a fully automatic machine, a moka pot or a French press to prepare this fine coffee. These methods bring out the natural sweetness and harmonious chocolate and caramel flavours and guarantee a full-bodied coffee experience. Your perfect morning starts with the BIO-Café Crème. With every purchase of Coffee Annan coffee, you contribute directly to a fairer value chain. This is because, unlike usual, a significant proportion of the revenue generated is reinvested directly in the coffee-growing regions. This not only supports local coffee farmers, but also promotes sustainable practices and improves living conditions in one of the world's most challenging regions. With Coffee Annan's organic café crème, you can not only enjoy excellent coffee, but also become part of a movement that shows how enjoyment and social responsibility can go hand in hand.

Coffee Annan House Blend, 1kg beans

Experience a symphony of flavourful variety and sustainable responsibility with the Coffee Annan House Blend. This special blend of Arabica and Robusta combines the best from the fertile regions of Uganda. Savour every sip and feel how the carefully selected beans not only enrich your palate, but also your awareness of sustainable coffee enjoyment. The House Blend seduces with a harmonious flavour of dark chocolate, enriched with the natural sweetness of dried fruit and a hint of marzipan. The medium roast ensures low acidity and fully develops the natural flavours of each bean, making it a full-bodied, intensely aromatic experience. This blend combines 70% Arabica beans of the SL-14 and SL-28 varieties with 30% Robusta. The Arabica beans are washed, while the Robusta beans undergo natural processing. Grown at altitudes between 1800 and 2200 metres, this coffee reflects the unique climatic and geological conditions of Uganda, which offer ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee cherries. The House Blend is perfect for preparation as an espresso and cappuccino, either in a portafilter or fully automatic machine. The finely balanced roast and the high-quality beans produce a rich crema and enable a wide range of coffee variations that impress both on their own and in combination with milk. Coffee Annan is deeply committed to social responsibility and ecological sustainability. The cooperation with the women's cooperative Masha Coffee in Uganda and other local partners not only supports organic cultivation, but also the expansion of ecological agroforestry systems that promote biodiversity and bind CO2. Every time you buy a packet of Coffee Annan House Blend, you are directly supporting these important initiatives and contributing to a better world. Enjoy the Coffee Annan House Blend and be part of a movement that shows that you can enjoy excellent coffee and do something good at the same time.
