Länggass tea Assam
Assam is the world's largest contiguous tea-growing region. Wild tea trees were discovered in the state of Assam in north-east India at the beginning of the 19th century. These were propagated and cultivated in the Assamese lowlands around the Brahmaputra River. Tea from Assam has been exported since 1837. The teas are harvested in various stages, mostly in summer, and processed as fully oxidised black teas. Assam teas are dark, strong, tart with a malty character and sometimes spicy notes.
Édition Classique: The selection of 23 varieties offers an overview of the prized teas from the classic growing regions. Each individual tea shows the typical characteristics of its type and thus offers an insight into the infinite variety of flavours in the world of tea.
