The growing conditions there allow the coffee cherries to ripen slowly. This has an extremely positive influence on the unmistakable Limu character. The coffee is hand-picked and dried in the sun.
Limu in south-west Ethiopia is the home of Arabica coffee, the origin of Coffea Arabica, which originated here around 700 AD. This region is known for the fact that there are still wild coffee plants growing in the forests.
