Rast Sicilia, Arabica highland - Robusta blend, 1kg beans
Do you love classic Italian style? Then Rast Sicilia is just your flavour. This strong espresso blend has been dark-roasted to bring out the full roasted flavours - just as it is drunk in Sicily. Spicy, earthy, full-bodied: an espresso that shows attitude and enhances your moment - whether on its own or with milk.
The Sicilia is a real powerhouse. An earthy aroma unfolds on the nose that immediately makes you want more. The palate is dominated by nutty flavours with a subtle hint of bitter almond. Acidity? Not at all. Instead, this blend delivers pure intensity, depth and a flavour that lingers for a long time. An espresso for those who like it dark, strong and full of character.
The Sicilia is clearly intended for espresso (3/3), ristretto, cappuccino or latte macchiato. Its strong roast and robust body make it the ideal base for all short and milky coffee specialities. It is too intense for café crème or filter coffee (0/3 each) - this is a real espresso for Italy fans.
For this blend, Rast Kaffee uses high-quality Arabicas from Brazil (Fazenda Vista Alegre), Colombia (Cafenorte Cooperative) and Indonesia (Blawan Estate), combined with the best Robusta from the Took Bandung Coffee Estate on Java. The dark roast perfectly emphasises the strong, spicy components and makes the Sicilia a true homage to Italian espresso culture. A must for all those who enjoy their coffee with vigour.

Fresh service, please note: This coffee is freshly roasted every Monday and shipped two to three days later.
We recommend: Espresso roasts should be used 12 days after the roast date, and filter coffees 5 days after the roast date, which can be found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time to be ready for consistent extraction.
We kindly request that orders be placed by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday so that we can guarantee shipping on the following Wednesday.
