The Tropical Mountains Robusto Espresso/Lungo is full-bodied with a remarkable blend of nutty, earthy and delicately bitter notes. With a strength of 6 out of 6 and an acidity of 2 out of 6, this coffee delivers a remarkable intensity of 12, resulting in a strong and bitter flavour that lingers on your tongue for a long time and guarantees a magnificent, stable crema in the espresso.
This coffee consists of a perfectly balanced blend of 40 % organic Arabica beans from Peru and 60 % organic Canephora (Robusta) from Tanzania. Both beans are sourced directly from the coffee farmers in our network, giving them a fair and secure income. By cutting out the middleman, we ensure that you find the highest quality and fair trade in every capsule.
Our compostable capsules are compatible with the Nespresso®* system and offer you the opportunity to enjoy your coffee in an environmentally friendly way. Simply fill the capsule into your machine and select the desired quantity: 40 ml espresso or 25 ml ristretto. Each capsule is designed to release the full flavour of the coffee and give you an intense taste experience.
The capsules and their packaging are fully biodegradable and made from natural materials. This conserves natural resources and contributes to the zero-waste idea. The 21 capsule containers are refillable and can be topped up with refill bags in two different sizes. Used bags can be reused in a variety of ways or sent back to us for reuse.

Tropical Mountains: Fair coffee from Peru
You are part of a special journey when you savour Tropical Mountains coffee. The coffee cherries for their coffees come from their own farm in central Peru.
They also support coffee farmers from their network by purchasing their gourmet organic coffee directly. This gives the farmers a fair income, without middlemen.
The story of Tropical Mountains begins in 2012, when Thomas Schwegler and Gisella Iriarte-Schwegler founded the Tropical Mountains Farm. In addition to growing certified organic coffee, they are also involved in social projects such as the construction of a village school. Quality is the top priority at Tropical Mountains. All of their varieties score over 80 out of a possible 100 points according to the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA).
Tropical Mountains coffee is grown sustainably and organically. The focus is not only on nature, but also on people. The coffee comes directly from their farm or from their organic and fair trade certified partners. The Tropical Mountains family is constantly growing, but its values remain unchanged.
Tropical Mountains takes an environmentally friendly approach by avoiding aluminium and plastic in their packaging. Their coffee pods are even compostable. At Tropical Mountains, they stay true to their roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging. As a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO), they support local schools and fund charitable projects. At Tropical Mountains, they firmly believe that respect influences flavour. Respect for their employees, the coffee plant and nature as a whole. For this reason, they also offset the CO2 emissions from their entire value chain.
