Everything they do is sustainable and organic. The coffee trees grow under the tropical sun, well protected by the shade of the local flora. No chemicals are used as they can damage the surrounding ecosystem.
They also treat people with respect. Tropical Mountains are a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) and work closely with neighbouring farmers. They pay fair wages and contribute a portion of the proceeds to local schools. Of course, there are faster and cheaper ways to trade coffee, but they are harmful to the people they care about.

The story of Tropical Mountains begins in 2012, when Thomas Schwegler and Gisella Iriarte-Schwegler founded the Tropical Mountains Farm. In addition to growing certified organic coffee, they are also involved in social projects such as the construction of a village school. Quality is the top priority at Tropical Mountains. All of their varieties score over 80 out of a possible 100 points according to the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA).
Tropical Mountains coffee is grown sustainably and organically. The focus is not only on nature, but also on people. The coffee comes directly from their farm or from their organic and fair trade certified partners. The Tropical Mountains family is constantly growing, but its values remain unchanged.
Tropical Mountains takes an environmentally friendly approach by avoiding aluminium and plastic in their packaging. Their coffee pods are even compostable. At Tropical Mountains, they stay true to their roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging. As a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO), they support local schools and fund charitable projects. At Tropical Mountains, they firmly believe that respect influences flavour.
