A coffee pleasure all'italiana, created for the "Italie 2002" celebrations in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This is a tempting coffee with beans from Brazil, Mexico, Ethiopia and Cameroon.
This coffee has a strong and flavourful start. It convinces with magnificent and long-lasting flavours of dark chocolate, jasmine and a fine woody note. This fine blend is highly appreciated by baristas and gives intense pleasure to the palate.
Even if Italians claim, not without justification, to have invented espresso, that doesn't mean that we can't roast good espresso in Switzerland. Nobody else roasts at an altitude of around 1000 metres above sea level. The lower air pressure ensures that the coffee beans behave differently during roasting than in normal roasting plants. Exactly how this happens is a carefully guarded secret of the la Semeuse roastery in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Due to its location in La Chaux-de-Fonds at 1000 metres above sea level, La Semeuse benefits from a lower boiling point of the water, which allows for a gentler roasting process. This preserves the fine aromas and minimises acidity and bitterness, making every sip of La Semeuse coffee a subtly powerful pleasure.
Every year, La Semeuse imports around 15,000 jute sacks of the finest coffees in the world. With a focus on high-quality Arabica beans, La Semeuse roasts each batch using a time-honoured method in drum roasters.
