Coffees from Kenya are among the best that are traded on the world market. Almost exclusively Arabica coffees are grown, which are sold worldwide by the Kenya Coffee Board, a kind of national coffee exchange. The Guama growing area is located in the western Kirinyaga district on the southern slope of the famous Mount Kenya with its snow-capped peaks. The coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,700 to 1,800 metres.

The flowering period is between March and May, the harvest time between November and December. The coffee grows on fertile volcanic sandy soil, is picked exclusively by hand and then wet-processed. The fermentation and washing process is carried out with fresh water from the Karutu River. The parchment coffee is dried in the sun. A coffee in a class of its own.

Fresh Service: This coffee is freshly roasted for you every Monday and shipped two days later.

We recommend that espresso roasts be used 12 days after the roast date or filter coffees 5 days after the roast date found on the package. Freshly roasted coffee needs this time until it is ready for a constant extraction.

We ask that the order is always sent before 23:59 on Sunday, so that we can ensure a shipment on the following Wednesday.
