Länggass Tea Ceylon
Ceylon (which is now called Sri Lanka) was actually a coffee-producing country. in 1867, the cultivation of cross-bred Assam and China tea plants was started. After coffee rust attacked most of the coffee plants in 1869, there was an almost complete switch to tea, and tea has been exported since 1873. The teas are harvested in various passes from spring to autumn and processed as fully oxidised black teas. Ceylon are rather dark and strong
with lemony-cinnamony notes.
